This exercise is fully available now. Coach Abuzaid's verified demonstration will appear here once it is mapped to the canonical exercise.

How to Perform

  1. Set up according to the equipment and movement pattern while establishing a stable base.
  2. Brace the trunk and begin the repetition under control.
  3. Move through a pain-free range while keeping the intended joints aligned.
  4. Complete the working phase smoothly without using unnecessary momentum.
  5. Return to the start under control and reset before the next repetition.

Coach Abuzaid Technique Cues

  • Brace before the working phase.
  • Use controlled range of motion.
  • Keep the intended joints aligned.
  • Stop the set before technique breaks down.

Common Mistakes

  • Using momentum to replace muscular control.
  • Rushing the lowering or recovery phase.
  • Losing trunk or joint alignment.
  • Continuing after technique has clearly deteriorated.

Benefits

  • Develops capacity in primary muscles associated with the movement pattern through a recovery pattern.
  • Builds repeatable movement control and position awareness.
  • Can be progressed through load, range, tempo, volume or complexity.
  • Fits structured strength, hypertrophy, skill or conditioning work depending on how it is programmed.

When to Use It

Use Nutrition when the program calls for a recovery pattern that emphasizes primary muscles associated with the movement pattern. Adjust load, repetitions, rest and range to match the session goal rather than treating the exercise as a fixed prescription.

Progression

Progress by improving control first, then increasing range, repetitions, resistance, speed or movement complexity only when the current version remains technically consistent.

Regression

Regress by reducing load, range, speed or complexity, using more external support, or selecting a simpler variation of the same movement pattern.

Safety Notes

  • Use a load and range you can control with consistent technique.
  • Keep the equipment setup secure before beginning the set.
  • Do not force painful range or continue through sharp, sudden or unusual pain.
  • Increase load or complexity only after the current variation is repeatable.
